PATNA, April 30 -- A 50-bedded integrated Ayush (ayurveda, homeopathy, unani, yoga) hospital will be built in Gopalganj, Siwan, Madhubani, Darbhanga, Begusarai, Gaya and Motihari (East Champaran), said Bihar's health minister Mangal Pandey while inaugurating a four-day training session for Ayush practitioners in Patna on Monday. The health minister said the state Aysuh committee was also going to introduce pathological investigation services at its 294 Ayushman Arogya Mandir, providing Ayush healthcare services in urban and rural areas up to the last mile. He said the state Ayush samiti had prepared an implementation plan for this. He also said that joint dispensaries were also being operated in all 38 districts of the state. The government, Pandey said, had approved Rs.834 crore for construction of government ayurvedic colleges in Darbhanga, Begusarai and Government RBTS Homeopathic College Hospital. He said 10 beds would be reserved for Ayush patients where new nodel buildings of district hospitals were being made. On recruitment, the government has been dwelling upon in the election year, Pandey said advertisements have been published for filling up 35,383 vacant positions in the health department. He said the process of appointment would be completed in the next three to four months. He said the Ayush healthcare system would also be strengthened by making appointments through the Bihar Public Service Commission or the technical commission. Health secretary Manoj Kumar Singh said free medicines of ayurveda, homeopathy and Unani system were being made available at Ayush hospitals and Ayushman Arogya Mandir. Aditya Prakash, additional secretary of the health department and executive director of the State Ayush Samiti said practitioners of Ayush at Ayushman Arogya Mandir were being trained as per the guidelines of the National Ayushman Mission....
