Pithoragarh, Dec. 15 -- A 45-year-old man died allegedly due to extreme cold in Pithoragarh district after he was found lying unconscious along a highway late Saturday night, police and hospital officials said on Sunday. A police official said the deceased has been identified as Prakash Ram, a resident of Rawalgaon village near Pithoragarh town. He was taken to the district hospital by a police patrolling team after being spotted near Dhaumod village along the Pithoragarh-Tanakpur highway. However, doctors declared him dead on arrival.
