BETTIAH, June 8 -- Special Task Force (STF), in coordination with Dhaka police, arrested four smugglers and seized about one kilogram of narcotics worth Rs.20 lakh in East Champaran district, police said on Friday evening. According to the police, the consignment of heroin was recovered from the possession of four men at a petrol pump near Mastram College under the jurisdiction of Dhaka police station in East Champaran district. "The seizure was made based on a tip-off. The arrested smugglers were engaged in peddling heroin, which they procured from Manipur," police said in an official statement. Those arrested have been identified as Nandlal Kumar, Umesh Kumar, Vivek Kumar, and Mahendra Sah -all from East Champaran district. Meanwhile, police have named eight people, including a woman from Manipur, as accused in this case....
