PATNA, May 29 -- At least 30 branded motorcycles were destroyed after a massive fire broke out during the unloading of bikes from a trailer truck in the Sabalpur area under the jurisdiction of Nandi police station on Wednesday afternoon. The fire resulted in property loss worth crores of rupees, officials said. Police reported that the trailer was carrying 80 to 90 motorcycles when the fire erupted around 12 noon near Sabalpur Tedhi Pul. As the unloading process was underway, smoke was seen emanating from the truck, which was quickly followed by flames. Panic gripped the area, prompting locals to make desperate attempts to douse the fire and alert the police and fire department. Fire brigade teams reached the scene promptly after receiving the alert. Six fire engines were deployed to bring the blaze under control. Despite efforts, around 30 motorcycles were completely gutted. The trailer's driver, identified as Inam, sustained serious burn injuries and was rushed to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH)....
