PATNA, May 11 -- Three persons, including a 10-year-old boy, were killed and at least a dozen persons were injured after a bus carrying wedding guests collided head-on with a hyva truck at Lodipur on the Patna-Gaya National Highway -22 on Saturday. Police said that the accident took place when the bus was on its way to Jehanabad from from Datmai village in the Kadirganz police station Patna after the wedding ceremonies concluded. "As the wedding guests were on their way back home on the bus, a truck coming from the opposite direction collided with the bus near Lodipur village in which three died on the spot and at least a dozen persons were injured in the accident." The police identified the deceased as Prince Kumar and Ayodhya Yadav from Lal Bhasra village in Dulhan Bazaar, and Chintamani Prasad from Koyari Bigaha village Patna. Sub-Inspector Abhishek Kumar of the Kadauna police station said that the police received information about a road accident and immediately rushed to the scene.
