22-year-old Missing tutor's body found
PATNA, June 8 -- The body of a youth with throat slit was found late on Friday in an agricultural field. The body was left unattended for more than six hours - with officials from Chhaurahi and Gadhpura police stations of Begusarai district sparring over jurisdiction.
The incident took place while locals spotted an unidentified body and informed the police about the incident. Later the circle officer and amin arrived at the spot with a map and measured the place. The amin found that the place of occurrence was falling under the jurisdiction of Chhaurahi police station. After dispute clearance, police lifted the body from the spot and sent it to Sadar hospital for autopsy. An FSL team also arrived at the spot and lifted some evidence.
According to Begusarai police, the victim, later identified as Dharmendra Kumar Babul (22) was a resident of Kanausi village under Gadhpura police station. He was a tutor and usually attended door to door classes at Manikpur, Kanausi and Raxi localities. He had gone missing since Thursday evening from a house where he had gone to teach a pupil. Till late evening, Babul did not return home, following which his newly wed wife registered a missing complaint with the police.
Begusarai SP Maneesh said some passersby saw the unidentified body and alerted the police. His throat was slit,and there were minor scratches on the wrist, possibly because he had resisted. We are trying to locate the weapon of offence. The mobile call list of the victim and the CCTV footage in and around the body recovery site are being scanned for further leads in the case....
