SAMASTIPUR, June 8 -- A heart-wrenching tragedy unfolded in Hasanpur police station area of Samastipur on Friday evening, where a 13-year-old boy lost his life in a brutal stray dog attack. The boy had gone to offer prayers at the local 'Deehwar Baba' shrine in Bardgaon village along with his family. However, he got separated from the group on the way, and that's when the horrifying incident occurred, police said. According to locals, half-a-dozen stray dogs attacked the boy, mauled his face and neck, leaving him fatally injured. He died on the spot before any help could reach. The news sent shock waves through the village, and angry residents demanded immediate action from the administration to control the menace of stray dogs, which they say has been growing unchecked in the area. According to Dr Satyendra Kumar, who conducted the postmortem, the deceased had 16 deep wounds on his neck and head, and his face was so badly mauled it was nearly unrecognisable. Shockingly, this is the third such incident in Bargaon village within a month....
