SASARAM, May 10 -- Rohtas police on Friday arrested 12 members of a bike-lifting gang and recovered eight stolen motorcycles and ten mobile phones from their possession, officials said. Following a spate of bike thefts, Rohtas Superintendent of Police (SP) Raushan Kumar formed a special team led by Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Kota Kiran Kumar. The team included officers from the Rohtas, Nauhatta, Chutia, and Yadunathpur police stations. A breakthrough came on Wednesday when Kudra police in neighbouring Kaimur district apprehended two minor boys in possession of a bike stolen from the Nauhatta area. During interrogation, the minors revealed crucial details of the gang's operations, leading to a major crackdown. Subsequently, eight stolen bikes-two from Kaimur and six from various locations in Rohtas-were recovered. Police arrested 12 individuals, including seven from Rohtas and five from Kaimur district. The three minors were handed over to the Juvenile Justice Board, while the remaining nine adult accused were sent to Sasaram jail, the SP added....
