PATNA, May 16 -- As many as 102 migrant labourers ran away on Thursday night from three quarantine centres in Nalanda, Jehanabad and Aurangabad districts alleging neglect, ill treatment and mismanagement by authorities.
The migrants have been complaining of poor quality food, dirty toilets and lack of other basic amenities.
Reports from Nalanda stated that out of the 73 labourers in quarantine, at least 17 migrants escaped from Karai Parsurai centre while five of them returned back after villagers did not allow them to enter. On Friday, deputy collector land reforms Anil Kumar Sinha, SDPO Mohammad Imtiyaz Ahmad reached the spot and directed the local police to trace the escapees.
