BHAGALPUR, Sept. 25 -- Ten students were suspended for a year and fines imposed on 29 others for their alleged involvement in violent clashes on the campus of Bhagalpur College of Engineering (BCE) on September 12, which left four persons injured, officials said. Officials added that one of the seriously injured students is undergoing treatment at AIIMS Patna. Confirming the action, BCE Principal OP Roy said, "We have taken the decision on the basis of the report of the committee constituted to probe the incident. Disciplinary action has been taken against 39 students, and an order in this regard has already been issued by the college administration on Tuesday." He added that the parents of the students had also been informed about the entire developments on the campus. He said, "After scrutinising the CCTV footage, such disciplinary action has been taken. Police have also been informed about the strict action taken against the students," adding, "Such unruly and disruptive activities are strictly prohibited on the campus premises."...
