1 held for sharing army video online
BARMER, May 11 -- The Barmer Police has arrested a 26-year-old man for allegedly circulating a video on the Indian Army's movements on social media, thereby violating strict prohibition against sharing of such sensitive content, officers said on Saturday.
Superintendent of police Narendra Singh Meena said the accused, identified as Jiyaram, a resident of Poonyon Ka Tala in the Gida region of Balotra. "The accused filmed and shared a video related to the Indian Army movements on social platforms," he said, adding that Jiyaram was arrested under Section 170 of the Indian Civil Defence Code for unauthorised dissemination of sensitive military activity.
SP added, "The Barmer Police is closely monitoring social media activities. Citizens are strictly advised against capturing or sharing any photos or videos related to the movement of the Indian Army on any social media platform. Such actions are a legal violation, and strict legal action will be taken against those involved." htc...
