PATNA, May 11 -- The state-run 'Har Ghar Nal Ka Jal scheme' is performing strongly in rural Bihar, with high levels of coverage, functionality, and user satisfaction, revealed a study conducted by Development Management Institute (DMI), a reputed management institute of Bihar. The rapid assessment, conducted in April 2025 across Muzaffarpur and Gaya districts aimed to evaluate the current status of rural piped water supply and gather feedback from communities and field-level stakeholders. The DMI carried out the survey independently. According to the study, more than 94% of surveyed rural households now have tap water connections under the scheme.
