PATNA, June 15 -- In the face of 126 murders in the last five months in Patna alone, giving the Opposition the ammunition to target the government over law and order, the Bihar government on Saturday carried out yet another police reshuffle, which includes shifting of Patna SSP Aakash Kumar within six months of his posting. Overall, 18 police officers have been transferred, including Samastipur SP Ashok Mishra, who has been sent to the special branch in Patna. According to the transfers effected today, superintendents of police (SPs) Jehanabad, Samastipur, Jamui, Purnea, Supaul besides three City SPs of Patna have been replaced. As per notification, 2014 batch IPS officer K Kartkey Sharma, earlier posted as Purnea SP, now will be Patna SSP replacing Awakas, who shifted to Bihar special auxiliary police (BSAP) as Commandant of Battalion-1. BSAP-1 Commandant Pramod Kumar Yadav, who also held the additional charge of STF (Operation), will now be SP (D) in CID, replacing Chandrasekhar Prasad Vidyarthi. Vidyarthi has been appointed as SP Law and Order. Samastipur SP Ashok Mishra has been transferred to the special branch as SP (G). He has replaced Vineet Kumar, who has been transferred and posted as SP Jehanabad. Jehanabad SP Arvind Pratap Singh has been shifted to Samastipur in the same capacity while Muzaffarpur city SP Vishwajeet Dayal has been appointed as Jamui SP. Supaul SP Saisav Yadav has been shifted to modernisation as AIG while Patna city SP (West) Sarath RS will replace Yadav at Supaul. Similarly, city SP (central) Sweety Sehrawat will be Purnea SP while City SP (East) K Ramdas shifts to Bihar police academy, Rajgir, as SP-cum-assistant director. SDPO-1 Danapur Bhanu Pratap Singh will now be city SP (West), while SDPO-1 (Town) Deeksha has been appointed as city SP (Central). SDPO-1 Ara Sadar.
