'No Flying Zone' in Ranchi during President's visit to j'khand today
RANCHI, Dec. 28 -- A 200-meter radius around the area from Birsa Munda Airport to Hinoo Chowk, Birsa Chowk, Argora Chowk and Lok Bhavan in the state capital Ranchi has been declared a "No Flying Zone" for drones, paragliding, and hot air balloons by the district administration, people aware of the development said on Saturday
The restrictions would be in place for security reasons in wake of the visit of President Droupadi Murmu to visit Ranchi from December 28, 2025 to December 30, 2025. The sub-divisional magistrate, Sadar, Ranchi, exercising the powers conferred under Section 163 of the BNSS, has issued the prohibitory order, officials said. The President is expected to land in Ranchi at around 6.15 pm on Sunday.
"From December 28, 2025 to December 30, 2025, the 200-meter radius around the area from Birsa Munda Airport to Hinoo Chowk, Birsa Chowk, Argora Chowk, and Lok Bhavan has been declared a NO FLY ZONE for drones, paragliding, and hot air balloons, and the operation of drones, paragliding, and hot air balloons is strictly prohibited in and above this area," the Ranchi district administration said in a statement....
