PATNA, Sept. 4 -- Amid growing speculation about where Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor will contest election from, party president and former MP Uday Singh said there was no decision taken at the party level if at all he should contest. "The party has not even decided whether he should contest election at all, as he is the star campaigner and the party will not like to confine him to one seat, where he would focus more," he added. Singh said the party was busy giving final touches to the seat allocation for the upcoming state elections and the first list would come during Navratra. "Regarding Prashant Kishor, the fact is that the party leadership is still in two minds whether he should contest. Finding a seat for him is not a question, as he could contest from any of 203 seats (40 seats are reserved). The big question is if he should at all contest, as the party will want his energy for all the seats, as people look forward to him," he added. Referring to media reports that Kishor will take the electoral plunge in the Bihar Assembly election, from Kargahar seat in Rohtas, Singh said he had been "misinterpreted". "A question was asked in an interview if he would like to contest from his native place and he said that was always desirable - birthplace or workplace. Regarding him, no decision has been taken yet. We will need him for all the seats," he added. Kishor has also been saying that he would contest against Tejashwi from wherever the latter fights. So far, no party in the state has come out with its seat distribution and it could happen only after election is announced. Kishor has also been avoiding questions on whether he is the CM face of his party, describing himself as a worker. Kargahar gained currency as native place of Kishor, whose entry in election fray has generated a lot of interest due to his new style of campaigning which revolves more around voter education to apprise the masses of the "ill-effects of caste politics unleashed by politicians for their own interest" and his outreach to the people personally. Kargahar seat, under Sasaram LS constituency, is an upper caste-dominated seat. JD(U)'s Bashisth Singh and Ram Dangi Singh won from here in 2015 and 2010. In the 2020 Assembly polls, Congress candidate Santosh Kumar Mishra had won the seat, defeating JD(U) candidate, in which the BSP and LJP candidates had together polled significantly more than the winning candidate....
