PATNA, Dec. 8 -- At the celebrations to mark the home guards' 73rd raising day at Bihta's Anandpur Camp, director general-cum-commandant general of home guard and fire services (DG) R K Mishra said the force has been supporting the police department in almost all wings i.e. law and order, crime, traffic, computer operators, providing security to VVIPs, during festivals and important events .

Addressing the home guards after the parade, march past and receiving guard of honour, the DG said the home guards were also a part of the police family.
