Greater Noida, Sept. 3 -- The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida) has allotted a 12,000 square metre (3-acre) plot in its Medical Device Park in Sector 28 to Premier Medical Systems & Devices Pvt. Ltd., officials said on Tuesday. A Letter of Intent has been issued to the firm. "The Noida-based company will invest Rs.60 crore, creating around 450 new jobs, as it broadens its manufacturing portfolio to include radiology and oncology equipment," said Yeida's officer on special duty, Shailendra Bhatia. Premier Medical Systems & Devices, earlier known as Medisys, pioneered India's first locally made ventilator in the mid-1970s. It currently manufactures ICU ventilators, anaesthesia workstations, and syringe and infusion pumps at its Sector 63 facility, supplying across India and exporting to Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. The new plant will replicate these products and add radiology equipment such as X-ray, CT, and MRI, and oncology-focused devices including biopsy systems and oncology-specific infusion units. The 350-acre Medical Device Park, North India's first dedicated facility for device manufacturing, is being developed under the national "Promotion of Medical Device Parks" scheme, with Yeida as the state implementing agency. The central government approved its project report in early 2022. So far, 89 plots have been allotted; 23 firms signed lease deeds; 10 received building-plan approvals; and construction is ongoing at seven sites, including TI Medical's 11-acre unit. Yeida has been directed to complete all infrastructure by January 2026. A Rs.14.25 crore recreational hub is also planned within 18 months....
