New Delhi, July 14 -- The Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) on Sunday issued a public notice urging residents to report any individual or organisation found storing, selling, manufacturing, or bursting firecrackers in the city. Citing the Supreme Court's November 2024, order and a subsequent Delhi government directive from December 2024, the DPCC said a complete year-round ban on all firecrackers is in effect under Section 5 of Environment (Protection) Act, 1986. Violations will face legal action, officials said, adding that complaints can be filed via ngms.delhi.gov.in, Green Delhi app, helpline 155271, or 112.
