New Delhi, July 10 -- NBCC (India) Limited will develop a technology park with data centres for the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) over a 40-acre campus in Mehrauli, the agency announced on Wednesday. The project, worth Rs.220 crore, will include data centres, technical towers, a training centre with integrated hostel facilities, staff housing, recreation zones, and a smart security node, officials said. The technology park, spanning a built-up area of about 53,000 square metres, is expected to be completed in three years, NBCC said. The agency has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with C-DOT for the project, officials added. "The sprawling campus will be a magnificent ecosystem of technology, sustainability and innovation," NBCC said in a statement. "It is designed to spark inspiration and embody India's technological prowess. The infrastructure will house a high-performance data centre, technical towers, a world-class training centre with hostel facilities, staff housing, a recreation zone and a smart reception and security node," the statement added. NBCC will serve as project management consultant (PMC), handling everything from master planning and design to execution, supervision, and obtaining statutory approvals, the statement added. According to NBCC officials, the agency was selected as PMC after a competitive bidding and negotiation process.
