New Delhi, June 10 -- Lieutenant governor VK Saxena on Monday approved a major cadre restructuring in the Irrigation and Flood Control (I&FC) department, paving the way for 156 new posts to strengthen flood management and river Yamuna rejuvenation efforts. The move, aimed at boosting efficiency and oversight, will expand the number of civil divisions from 14 to 20 and bring in engineers, clerks, and support staff.
