GIMS launches AI clinic at its Greater Noida campus
GREATER NOIDA, Jan. 3 -- The Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) Greater Noida on Friday launched India's first artificial intelligence (AI) clinic within the GIMS campus in Greater Noida, officials said.
The clinic, set up through the institute's centre for medical innovation, has been integrated into GIMS's operational 630- bed public hospital, officials said.
According to officials, the clinic aims to bridge the gap between healthcare AI innovation and real-world clinical adoption, particularly in government hospitals that deal with high patient loads and resource constraints.
GIMS director (Brig.) Dr Rakesh Gupta, said: "The GIMS AI Clinic will function as a clinical validation platform where AI tools are co-designed with doctors, tested during routine patient care, and evaluated for safety, ethical compliance and clinical relevance before being considered for wider use."
Gupta added: "By embedding the clinic within an operational public hospital, we are ensuring that AI solutions are tested against real patient needs, real clinical workflows and real public health challenges."...
