G Noida's SVSP sports facility to see major redevelopment
Greater Noida, May 1 -- The Greater Noida authority has announced a redevelopment of the Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik (SVSP) sports complex in Sector 20, transforming it into a world-class Centre of Excellence under a public-private partnership (PPP) model. The authority has earmarked Rs.125 crore for further infrastructure.
"We will upgrade the facility into an elite training and development destination aimed at nurturing athletes capable of competing on global stages such as the Olympics and Asian Games," said Ravi Kumar NG, CEO of Greater Noida authority.

The concessionaire will manage and monetise the facilities, while the authority retains oversight, including the right to host events 30 days a year and mandate discounts for members.
