cops question headmistress of St. Columba's in teen suicide case
New Delhi, Nov. 26 -- The Delhi Police on Tuesday questioned the headmistress of St. Columba's School a week after a 16-year-old student allegedly jumped from a west Delhi metro station.
Two class teachers were also examined; "The teachers said they were not aware.The headmistress denied all allegations," a senior officer said. The boy left a note accusing the headmistress and three teachers, who were booked for abetment to suicide and suspended.
Police recovered CCTV footage that "corroborates parts of the allegations." The family will hold a mourning ceremony in Karol Bagh on November 26. "We will continue our fight," his father said.
Officers have recorded statements of witnesses and friends, noting CCTV also captured a teacher speaking to him that day....
