New Delhi, April 10 -- In the wake of a sharp spike in Covid-19 cases in Delhi, chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday announced the closure of all schools and colleges in the city, suspending all in-person academic activities until further orders.

It was, however, not immediately clear if the order will affect the CBSE board examinations for classes 10 and 12 students that are scheduled to be held next month.

While the board's controller of examinations could not be reached for comment, a senior CBSE official who asked not to be named said it was too early to comment on any potential changes to the examination schedule.
