After 'Westarctica' embassy, bogus global probe agency busted in NCR
NOIDA, Aug. 11 -- The Noida Police has arrested six people and seized a cache of proof after uncovering a fake "International Police & Crime Investigation Bureau" operating out of an office space in Noida Sector 70 - a fraudulent network, which, police said, collected "donations" through a website and extorted money by impersonating government officials.
The "bureau", claiming affiliation with Interpol and International Human Rights Commission, and bearing police-style insignia and red-blue signboards, was busted during an overnight raid on Sunday, DCP (Central Noida) Shakti Mohan Awasthi said. The bust comes close on the heels of the Ghaziabad police arresting a businessman who claimed to be a diplomat of four micronations, including "Westarctica" and fictitious "Poulovia".P5...
