New Delhi, May 24 -- Chief minister Rekha Gupta on Friday said that over 3,500km of roads were cleaned across Delhi during a 20-day mega sanitation drive led by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD). Rohini Zone saw the most extensive cleanup, followed by Najafgarh, Karol Bagh, and South Zone. The drive also tackled encroachments and poor sanitation, with 11,131 fines issued-2,994 in west zone alone. Officials cleared 186.5km of roads of encroachments and seized 5,932 illegal items.
