29-yr-old man dies in accident in kapashera, probe on: cops
New Delhi, Oct. 13 -- A 29-year-old man died and two of his friends were injured in a road accident in the Dwarka Link Road tunnel in southwest Delhi's Kapashera on Sunday.
Police said it was not yet clear if they were hit by another vehicle or fell on their own. CCTV footage of he nearby area are being scanned for clarity.
DCP (southwest) Amit Goel said that on Sunday at 8.35am, the Kapashera police station were informed about the accident. Upon reaching the accident spot, a grey Honda Activa scooter was found damaged and lying on the road. No eyewitnesses were present. The personnel learnt that three injured men were rushed to a nearby private hospital.
While Chandan Saxena, 29, was declared dead at the hospital, Sunny alias Aryan Bhatnagar, 29, and Ajay Singh Negi, 31, were undergoing treatment.
Saxena worked as a chef at a hotel in the city.
The police said that personal belongings of the victims such as wallets, chains and phones were recovered and handed over to their family.
Based on the medico-legal certificates (MLCs) of the victims, a case of rash and negligent driving causing death and injuries was registered at the Kapashera police station....
