Navi Mumbai, May 16 -- Vashi's Vishnudas Bhave auditorium, which is undergoing renovation, will be thrown open to the public next year. Work on the auditorium began in March this year.
Commissioner of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC), Ramaswamy N, said, "The contractor has been given an 11-month period to complete the work. We are planning to throw open the auditorium in 2020."
The cost of the project is Rs11.52 crore. Under the renovation work, seats and audio systems of the 1,000-seat auditorium will be spruced up.
The green rooms, toilets and other sections, which are in a bad shape, will also be fixed.
