UN chief condemns attack, seeks India, Pak restraint
New Delhi, May 6 -- India and Pakistan should exercise maximum restraint and avoid a military confrontation that can "easily spin out of control", UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said on Monday amid heightened tensions over the Pahalgam terror attack. Gutteres offered to mediate between the two governments and said the UN will support any initiative that promotes de-escalation.
