Mumbai, April 29 -- The Thane Municipal Corporation is currently facing a water shortage of around 31 MLD, with supply falling short of the city's 621 MLD demand. At present, it is receiving about 590 MLD, leading to low pressure and reduced supply in several areas. The civic body has approached the BMC for an additional 50 MLD, but the request is yet to be approved.
