MUMBAI, July 2 -- A road accident near Vairal lake in Gorai on Tuesday claimed two lives when three friends were riding a bike and rammed into an electric pole. While two friends died on the spot, the third one was seriously injured and is in a critical condition. The police suspect that the three friends were drunk and have sent their blood samples for examination. According to the police, the incident occurred at 7 am on Tuesday when the friends, residents of Sion, were riding a motorcycle near Vairal lake in Gorai where they had gone on a trip. The rider could not see the water accumulated on the road, lost control of the vehicle and hit an electric pole. Two of them, identified as Shivam Sahu, 27, and Riyan Chaudhary, 27, died on the spot while Dinesh Tevar, 25, is in a critical condition in Themba municipal hospital, said a police officer.
