NEW DELHI, Aug. 20 -- Junior world No.1 Tanvi Sharma, doubles pair of Bhargav Ram Arigela and Viswa Tej Gobburu, Asian Junior Championships bronze medallist Vennala Kalagotla and Unnati Hooda will lead a 25-member Indian badminton team at the BWF World Junior Championships in Guwahati. While the mixed team event will be played from October 6-11, the individual tournament will take place from October 13-19. The last time India hosted the event was in 2008 when Saina Nehwal became the first - and till date only - Indian to win gold. India have so far won four silver and six bronze. The team was selected after trials which included all members of the Asian Junior Championships team, players ranked in the world junior top 20, BAI singles top 8, BAI doubles top 4 pairs, and juniors ranked inside the BWF senior top 50.
