Take action to curb accidents, SP tells NHAI
MUMBAI, Feb. 5 -- Alarmed by the high rate of accidents on the Palghar stretch of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway, the district superintendent of police Balasaheb Patil wrote to the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) regarding putting up crash barriers and take several other corrective steps. The letter was written on January 21 after statistics showed that 83 people had died in 82 accidents on the highway in 2024....
