Navi Mumbai, Nov. 16 -- A 42-year-old man from Bengaluru died after his car, allegedly speeding, rammed into the metal barriers on the Kharghar creek bridge on the Mumbai-Pune Highway and plunged into the sea on Friday night. According to the police, the accident occurred around 9:30 pm on Friday, when Jobin Benedict, a consultant from Bengaluru, was driving a four-wheeler on the Pune-bound side of the highway. Benedict was allegedly speeding, lost control of the vehicle and rammed into the bridge's steel barriers, before falling straight into the creek, police said. With the help of the fire brigade, Benedict's body was recovered from the sea and taken to Panvel Sub-District Hospital for post-mortem. The police said they are conducting probe to determine if the car was struck by any other vehicle, leading to the accident....
