Kolkata, Jan. 12 -- Wesley So and Carissa Yip won the open and women's blitz competition of the Tata Steel Chess India, respectively. So finished on 12 points and Yip won a playoff (1.5-0.5) against Vantika Agarwal after both ended on 10.5.
In the tiebreak, Agarwal lost the first match before Yip held firm in an exhausting second match endgame to secure the draw she needed for the title.
