Mumbai, July 3 -- Former India all-rounder Ravi Shastri, along with 11 other sportspersons were presented the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Sports Journalists Association of Mumbai at a ceremony on Wednesday. Former India women's cricketer Shubhangi Kulkarni, billiards star Michael Ferreira, Niraj Bajaj (table tennis), GM Pravin Thipsay (chess), shooters Anjali Bhagwat, Suma Shirur and Deepali Deshpande, Mervyn Fernandes and Joaquim Carvalho (hockey), and Sanjay Sharma (badminton) were the other award winners. Shastri, currently on commentary duty in England, was not present at the event at the Bombay Gymkhana. His mother Lakshmi collected the award on his behalf and shared the memories of his playing days, including the feat of hitting six sixes during a Ranji Trophy match in the 1984-85 season....
