Mumbai, Nov. 1 -- Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut on Friday announced that he will stay away from public life for the next two months due to health issues. The MP shared on social media an open letter addressed to his friends and party workers, saying he was suffering from some serious health problems and was undergoing treatment. "Doctors have placed restrictions on meeting people and going outdoors. One can't help it. I am confident that I will recover and join you next year," Raut said in the letter. Raut, an aggressive and effective orator in public rallies, had played a major role in bringing the estranged Thackeray cousins - Uddhav and Raj Thackeray - together. His absence during the upcoming local body polls will be a big jolt to the Shiv Sena (UBT), said sources in the party.
