Rare works from JJ School of Art, DAG's collections on display in city
MUMBAI, March 7 -- Starting today, rare paintings from the collection of the Sir JJ School of Art and Architecture, including an early Kattingeri Krishna Hebbar and portraits by Mahadev Vishwanath Dhurandhar-a student and later director of the 169-year-old institution-will be displayed in the premises of the deemed university alongside paintings, antiquarian photographs and other objects dating back to the turn of the 20th century from the DAG (formerly Delhi Art Gallery) collection. In all, over 170 works of art as well as rare books, examiners' reports and other archival material will be on view till March 23....
