Providing more details, Pune Airport director Santosh Dhoke said that three to four flights were affected on Monday due to fog at their respective destinations. These included flights bound for Delhi, Varanasi, and Bengaluru. However, Dhoke clarified that no flight was cancelled and all delays were managed smoothly by the airlines operators in coordination with the air traffic control. "Due to dense fog at some destination airports, three to four flights were delayed today. However, no flights were cancelled, and the airlines handled the situation efficiently to ensure passenger safety and convenience." said the Pune Airport director. Dense fog during winter months frequently impacts flight operations across north India, leading to delays at airports across the country. Hence, aviation authorities and airlines staff remain on high alert during this period, closely monitoring weather conditions and adjusting flight schedules accordingly.
