Parties trade blame on violence as Supreme Court expresses concern
Kolkata, April 17 -- West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday claimed there was a conspiracy behind the communal riots in Murshidabad district that broke out during protests against the new Waqf law even as the Opposition said she had failed to control the violence and sought her resignation."I saw a social media post by a news agency. It said people from Bangladesh engineered the riots. I don't guard the border. BSF (Border Security Force) does. Why did you allow people from across the border to create trouble here? You want polarization. You want to divide Hindus and Muslims," Banerjee said ....
