Parth not named in FIR despite being 99% owner of firm
Pune, Nov. 8 -- The controversy over the Rs.300-crore Mundhwa land deal involving DyCM Ajit Pawar's son, Parth Pawar, intensified on Friday as questions were raised over why Parth's name does not appear in the two FIRs registered by Pune Police. Parth holds a 99% stake in Amadea Enterprises LLP, the firm that purchased the land, while his cousin Digvijay Patil owns 1%. However, only Patil, who signed the sale documents, has been named in the FIRs, along with suspended sub-registrar Ravindra Taru, tehsildar Suryakant Yeole, and power of attorney holder Shital Tejwani.
Opposition leaders demanded that Parth also be booked, but the Inspector General of Registration office said the FIRs were filed based solely on documentary evidence available. "If further documents show others' involvement, action will follow," said joint IGR Rajendra Muthe. Ajit Pawar said the deal had now been cancelled and documents submitted to withdraw the sale deed.
Patil, 25, is Parth's close relative and co-director in three LLPs. Tejwani has previously faced fraud cases linked to the Seva Vikas Cooperative Bank scam. The bank later attached multiple properties linked to the couple and others. Tejwani is also listed as a director of the now-struck-off company, which was allegedly involved in the same scam....
