Nesco drugs case kingpin sent to judicial custody till may 22
MUMBAI, May 11 -- Hong Kong-based businessman Mahesh Khemlani alias Mark, 44, alleged kingpin of the drug network linked to the April 11 Nesco techno concert overdose deaths, was remanded to judicial custody till May 22 by a Borivali court on Sunday after police did not seek his custody. Khemlani's lawyer Pankaj Jadhav said no narcotics were recovered from him.
Police have arrested 12 accused so far, while one accused secured bail. Investigators alleged Khemlani sourced around 4,000 Ecstasy pills from a Europe-based supplier and used cryptocurrency transactions through USDT/Tether wallets. megha sood...
