Mumbai Central Terminus gets co-working space
MUMBAI, Dec. 18 -- India's first co-working office and digital lounge at a railway station was opened at Mumbai Central on Wednesday, offering passengers a workspace while waiting for trains.
The air-conditioned facility has 58 seats, including six recliners. An entry fee of Rs.200 allows access for one hour, with an additional charge of Rs.150 for every extra hour.
Officials said that while digital lounges exist at stations in Delhi and Chennai, they do not offer co-working spaces.
The 1,700-sq-ft space that has been leased to a private entity for five years is expected to generate a revenue of Rs.3.2 crore, officials said....
