Mumbai, July 28 -- University of Mumbai (MU) will pay the staff, both teaching and non-teaching, of its affiliated colleges for their work in online exams. "Many requests have been received regarding remuneration to be paid to staff engaged in online exam work. An item was placed before Board of Examination and Evaluation (BoEE) members where it was resolved that remuneration will be paid," said a circular signed by BoEE director, Vinod Patil.

Paper setters will be paid Rs.7 per question, proof readers will get Rs.100 per paper. The exam panel will be paid Rs.10 per student. Chief and joint chief exam conductors will get Rs.400 and Rs.250 per day. Shreya Bhandary
