India, Feb. 7 -- A Mirage 2000 fighter aircraft crashed near Shivpuri in Madhya Pradesh following a "system malfunction" on Thursday and a probe has been ordered into the accident, the Indian Air Force (IAF) said, adding that the two pilots ejected safely. The aircraft was on a routine training sortie. "A Mirage 2000 aircraft of the IAF crashed near Shivpuri (Gwalior), during a routine training sortie today, after encountering a system malfunction. Both the pilots ejected safely. An enquiry has been ordered by the IAF to ascertain the cause of the accident," the IAF said in a post on X. The Mirage 2000s carried out the pre-dawn air strike on a Jaish terror camp in Pakistan's Balakot on February 26, 2019, and are among the most reliable fighter jets operated by the IAF. P11...
