Nagpur, Dec. 8 -- The state cabinet, in its meeting held in Nagpur on Sunday, approved the appointment of senior advocate Milind Sathe as the new Advocate General of Maharashtra. Sathe has handled several high-profile cases in the Bombay High Court and the Supreme Court and has represented the state as a senior legal expert. Sathe has also written extensively for news outlets. The cabinet also accepted the resignation of Birendra Saraf from the post. Three years after his appointment, Saraf submitted his resignation to chief minister Devendra Fadnavis in September, citing personal reasons.
