Mumbai, Dec. 21 -- On Saturday the city recorded its coldest December morning this season. The Santacruz observatory logged a minimum temperature of 14.6degC, which is 3.4 degrees below normal, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). South Mumbai remained relatively warmer, with the Colaba observatory recording a minimum temperature of 20.1degC, still 0.9degC below normal. However, despite the chilly morning, daytime temperatures stayed high. Santacruz recorded a maximum of 33.8degC, one degree above normal, while Colaba registered an almost normal 32.2degC. The IMD said minimum temperatures are likely to remain between 17degC and 19degC until December 25.
