Mumbai, June 25 -- In relief to postgraduate medical and dental students admitted under the Maratha quota, the Supreme Court( SC) on Monday rejected a plea against the state's ordinance which retains 16% reservation for the community.

A medical candidate had filed the special leave petition (SLP) in the Apex Court after the Bombay high court (HC) had refused to hear a petition, filed by him and two others, against the ordinance which paved way for the quota to be implemented in all admissions involving national entrance tests.
