India, April 7 -- A medical student was found dead in her hostel room in Ernakulam district of Kerala in a suspected case of suicide, police said on Sunday. The deceased, a third-year medical student, was hanging from the ceiling in her hostel room at Government Medical College in Kalamessery area of the district around 11pm on Saturday. Police officers said that the reason behind the student taking such extreme step is yet unknown. So far, police have registered a case under section 194 (unnatural death) of the BNS.
