Thane, May 11 -- Party workers belonging to Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) continued their slugfest on Friday over a mango stall at Vishnu Nagar, that had been declared illegal by Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC).
While MNS workers claimed the stall had the required permission, BJP workers refuted this and said they will legally fight the MNS over the issue.
The TMC, however, has said the stall would be removed soon.
MNS city president Avinash Jadhav on Friday staged footpath protest, demanding the stall be given back to the farmer who had set it up.
Jadhav said, "The mango stall owner is a farmer and the BJP should not oppose a farmer."
